You may have read my post the other day about the importance of continuing to photograph your children (or have them photographed) beyond their adorable toddler years, besides your semi-annual family photos and before they become seniors in high school.

If you missed it, you can read it here.

I mentioned some of my 2017 resolutions, which include photographing my own tween more, working on some artistic projects involving tweens and young teens AND offering some great deals on mini sessions with the goal of getting you to have your in-betweens photographed.

I am already pretty motivated, but writing it all out the other day made me even more excited, so yesterday I announced the dates of two days of mini-sessions for tweens and young teens.

Today I want to share all the details, the skinny, the straight dope, get down to the nitty gritty...

Monday, February 20, 2017

(This is an AISD student holiday.)

Children between the ages of 10 and 14

*There is some wiggle room here, but the goal

(and the deal) is designed to get some new photos

of your beautiful children as they begin to lose the baby face

and start looking like a young version of their adult selves.

Use this link to the Sign Up Genius page to select your preferred date and time.

*Shoots are scheduled with little space between, so it's very important to be on time.

I will send you my address when you schedule your shoot.

What to Wear/Bring

I suggest letting your son or daughter select their own wardrobe. I will share some Pinterest boards for suggestions,

but it is their photo, showing who they are right now, so let's embrace that.

The background will be navy/dark blue.

Hats and accessories are fine.

I will have a few options for seating, including our 1948 Baldwin (I love our piano!)

Lighting will be window and available light (maybe a reflector and small light for hair.)

Speaking of hair, I say let them do their hair how they like it. If you want to get their hair done, great. If they like it messy, so be it.

I will definitely take these images into Photoshop for some retouching, but I will not change anyone's body shape, eliminate braces,

erase wording on tee-shirts, or smooth skin to an unnatural appearance.

Regarding acne, I will use my best judgement. I won't leave pimples that are huge or irritated. Zits are natural as they go through puberty,

but I don't want your child to be mortified if they wake up with one.

Since we are shooting inside, these sessions will happen rain or shine.

If you have an emergency, please let me know as soon as you can.

There is no refund, but I will work with you to reschedule in a timely manner.

Thanks so much for reading this far! I hope this means you will be clicking that link to schedule your mini-session. This is really the best deal I've offered in a long time. I hope you take advantage and get some much needed new photos of your son or daughter. I know too well how quickly they grow up!
