Fall. My favorite season. The only thing missing in Texas? Actual Fall weather. The stores, television commercials, other peoples' Instagram feeds all show evidence that elsewhere in the country, folks are wearing sweaters and boots. Leaves are changing colors. There is a chill in the air.
Presently, I'm wearing a skirt, a tank top and flip flops. It's warm and muggy outside, and I'm still trying to finish up water portraits from this summer's Signature Sessions.
Still, 'tis the season for new family photos, outside storytelling sessions and photo gifts, even if we can't yet add additional layers to our wardrobe, and our Fall photos often include barefeet and wildflowers.
Though the weather and I are not quite caught up, I'm happy to be able to share a few images from this recent shoot.
I DO love the special nature of the water portraits, but I must admit it was great to work on images of people who are dry, on land and upright! I love photographing these four. They are always agreeable to trying different ideas, even if they may sound a little wacky. We make sure to get a few nice portraits for sharing with family, and the rest is all playtime.
