Remember I was particiapting in a seven-day blogathon? You may have forgotten because it has taken me longer than seven days to complete, but here I am, at last, the final post of the challenge.
On this last day of the challenge, I need to say thank you. THANK YOU to all of you who continue to hire me even though my fees have probably tripled or quadrupled since you first chose me to photograph your family. Thank you for your belief and trust in me, for understanding and valuing what I am trying to do. Even as my work changes, you appreciate and enjoy the journey along with me. To those of you who seek me out for unique portraits of your children, who commission me for one-of-a-kind portraits to comemmorate your pregnancy, who get naked or muddy or in the water (or milk) fully clothed because you see something of what I am seeing and you want to be part of it. I love and appreciate your curiosity.
Today I want to shout out to Melissa Ciano Ellis! Thank you for allowing me to create art with your family! You are a talented photographer in your own right, so I am flattered you wanted to work with me.
Here are three of the pieces from the series. I have a couple more to complete, plus some outtakes for you. Thanks, also, for your patience and for recognizing that creating these pieces takes time.
AND thank you for giving me the greenlight to "do what the spirit tells me," rather than asking me to make sure all of these pieces matched each other. I am loving the freedom to go in any direction with each image.
